The foundation stone of Lodhi Club, Ludhiania was laid on 26th March, 1995 and it become a reality in a short span of time and was a result of keen interest taken by the Founder Members and office bearers of the Club in this much required institution in this industrial Hub of North india. There are more than 3000 members of the club.
The Lodhi Club was inaugurated on the 26th October, 1996.Members were enrolled from the prominent citizens of the city, business houses, industrialists and Govt. Officers. The Deputy commissioner of Ludhiana is always the President of the Club in his ex-officio capacity.
The basic objectives of the Club are to promote and encourage social, cultural and intellectual activities among its member, to promote friendship, spirit of discipline and to provide sports activities. The first proposed Constitution and working rules were presented by the Executive committee in the Annual General body held on 28th November, 1999 and was passed by voice vote and it was decided to give effect to it from 29th November, 1999. Thereafter, different amendments were adopted in the past in various General Body meetings. Apart from it, the Executive Committee (s) in the past and present took decisions for the benifit of club and members as well.
